What to expect


Course Cost

$950 for the first participant from your organization. $750 for the second participant and $500 for each additional participant.


The Course

Blox U is an exceptional training experience for executive directors, development directors and other non-profit professionals and board members whose organizations depend on effective fundraising. The course is divided into four 4-hour workshops where theory is coupled with useful tools, hands-on practice and take-home assignments that encourage you to apply what you’ve learned to real world experiences. Each workshop is designed to make an immediate impact on your organization.


During the course, participating organizations can receive up to four hours of consulting time at a 25% discounted rate.



Part One – Building Your Case for Giving

Nothing is more important than how you tell your story. Begin by creating a master narrative that introduces your organization and sparks interest in a deeper conversation, then craft a compelling case for giving that will inspire audaciously generous gifts.

Part Two – Ambassador Training and Creating a Culture of Giving & Asking

Improve your skills as a solicitor as you role play making the appointment, building relationships, handling objections and making the ask. Inspire and prepare your board and staff to step up their fundraising game, and become an organization that celebrates giving and asking.

Part Three – Prospect Identification and Campaign Management

Demystify the process of identifying and prioritizing your most probable major gift donors, then determine the roles and responsibilities of major donor portfolio management.


Session date: Tuesday, March 26, 9:30 – 1:30pm



Part Four – Creating a Development Plan and Systems

Learn what it takes to create a comprehensive development plan that works for you and have the tools you need to succeed.
