What to expect

 

Course Cost

The cost for the training series is $500 for the first participant from your organization, $400 for the second participant and $300 for each additional participant.

 

The Course

Blox U is an exceptional training experience for executive directors, development directors and other non-profit professionals and board members whose organizations depend on effective fundraising. The course is divided into three 3-hour workshops where theory is coupled with useful tools, hands-on practice and take-home assignments that encourage you to apply what you’ve learned to real world experiences. Each workshop is designed to make an immediate impact on your organization.

 

At the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • use your mission as a guiding star for strategy and fundraising
  • effectively deliver your message with emotional impact
  • describe how you will invest the funds you need
  • find and build connections to potential major donors
  • make thoughtful, bold asks
  • understand how to foster a culture of giving and asking

 

 

Part One – Building Your Case for Giving

Nothing is more important than how you tell your story. Begin by creating a master narrative that introduces your organization and sparks interest in a deeper conversation, then craft a compelling case for giving that will inspire audaciously generous gifts.

Part Two – Ambassador Training

Improve your skills as a solicitor as you role play making the appointment, building relationships, handling objections and making the ask.

Part Three – Identifying Probable Donors & Creating a Culture of Giving & Asking

Demystify the process of identifying and prioritizing your most probable major gift donors. Inspire and prepare your board and staff to step up their fundraising game, and become an organization that celebrates giving and asking.
